This petition has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 168 days in representing the above C.R.P.

2. Mr.C.Jagadish, learned counsel for petitioner submitted that the above C.R.P.was filed during the period when national lockdown was announced and the papers were returned for certain compliance on 02.03.2021. After compliance of defects in filing, the papers were represented on 24.08.2022. Again, it was returned for production of certain documents, but due to the surge of COVID-19, the courts were functioning in a staggered manner. Hence, they could not file the papers for complying with the returns. However, there is a delay of 168 days arose in filing the above C.R.P. and the said delay caused is neither willful nor wanton, but for the above said reasons. Accordingly, he has filed the above petition.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances, and the reasons stated by the petitioner in the affidavit is justifiable one. Accordingly, this court is inclined to allow this petition and Registry is directed to number the Civil Revision Petition if it is otherwise found to be in order. 27.03.2023 rpp https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
