Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to implement the seniority list dated 24.12.2014 issued for promotion to the post of Station Fire Officer based on his seniority so fixed, wherein the petitioner is placed at serial No.3 in the seniority list of Leading Fireman for the year 2014 - 2015, since the petitioner is due for superannuation on 31.01.2015. The petitioner served as Leading Fireman and on attaining the age of superannuation retired on 31.01.2015. While he was in service, the respondents have prepared a seniority list on 24.12.2014 for promotion to the post of Station Fire Officer. The name of the petitioner was found at Serial No.3 of the seniority list for the year 2014 - 2015. The respondents have not taken action for giving him promotion till his retirement. The petitioner therefore submitted series of representations. The present prayer is to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.01.2015 in the light of the seniority list https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

dated 24.12.2014.

2. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 07.01.2015 in the light of the seniority list dated 24.12.2014 for promotion to the post of Station Fire Officer. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
