Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, direct the respondent No. 4 herein to conduct the enquiry and to file a report based on the order passed in Na.Ka.No.3547/2019/A6/dated 01.10.2019 by the Respondent No. 3 herein and consequently direct the Respondent No. 3 herein to take action based on such report within a time frame stipulated by this Court. ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a direction to the fourth respondent to conduct the enquiry and file a report based on the order passed in Na.Ka.No.3547/2019/A6/dated 01.10.2019 by the third respondent and consequently, to direct the third respondent to take action based on such report within a time frame stipulated by this Court.

2. Upon hearing the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and perusing the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it is 2/6

the case of the learned counsel for the petitioner that Arulmigu Gothandaraman and Ramalinga Sowdambigai Thirukoil situated at Sirumugaiputhur village, Mettupalayam Taluk, Coimbatore District, is a public temple and it is mismanaged by the private respondents herein. He has made a representation levelling several allegations against the private respondents.

3. In view of the limited relief that is being granted in this writ petition, this petition is disposed of at the admission stage without notice to the private respondents No. 5 to 18. It is made clear that this Court is not expressing any opinion on the allegations made by the petitioner in respect of those respondents.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 4.

5. In view thereof, this writ petition is disposed of on the following terms:- (i) The second respondent shall take up the petitioner's representation dated 06.09.2019, on which 3/6

there already seems to be some preliminary enquiry, for further enquiry.

(ii) The second respondent shall issue notices to the petitioner, as well as the private respondents and any other persons who may be interested. After giving an opportunity to all sides, the allegations can be decided in accordance with the law and appropriate measures can be taken by the second respondent.

(iii) The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order, without waiting for the certified copy of the order. No costs.
