ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to grant approval of the petitioner's appointment as Trained Graduate Teacher in the second respondent school with effect from the date of his appointment, i.e., 05.07.2007 and grant him all consequential benefits within a time limit to be stipulated by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was initially appointed as a Primary School Teacher on consolidated pay on 05.07.2007 and she has been working continuously in the said School from 05.07.2007. A regular vacancy occurred on the retirement of one Mr.S.Antony Marie Francis on 01.06.2019. Hence, the School Management sent a proposal for approval as early as on 25.02.2020, and the petitioner has also made a representation to the first respondent on 28.11.2025. However, the first respondent has not approved the appointment of the petitioner till date despite the availability of a sanctioned post. Challenging the same, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

4. Since no adverse order is going to be passed in this Writ Petition, notice to respondent No.2 is dispensed with.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the proposal sent by the second respondent School dated 25.02.2020 and the representation of the petitioner dated 28.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
