ORDER

The petition seeks quash of the FIR filed against the petitioner/accused for the alleged offence under Section 277 of the Indian Penal Code.

2. The allegation against the petitioner/accused is that she had dropped a white cloth with human excreta in the water tank of the de-facto complainant's house.

3. Mr.S.Sai Prabhu, the learned counsel for the petitioner/accused, would submit that the petitioner had lodged complaints against the second respondent/de-facto complainant and the first respondent had not taken any action; that the petitioner also had given a complaint against the Deputy Superintendent of Police to the District Collector, since the police officials had helped the second respondent in a dispute between the petitioner and the second respondent; and that the impugned complaint was registered only due to the said enmity.

4. Mr.S.Sugendran, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, per

contra, submitted that on investigation, the first respondent has filed a Final Report on 03.12.2024, before the learned Judicial Magistrate - I, Virudachalam.

5. In view of the same, the petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner/accused to challenge the Final Report, if so advised. 05.12.2024.
