Challenging the impugned award in I.D.No.139 of 2018, dated 29.12.2021 passed by the II Additional Labour Court, Chennai, the petitioner has filed the instant writ petition before this Court.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 08.02.2022, this Court granted interim stay for a period of eight weeks, subject to the condition that the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.10,00,000/-, within a period of six weeks from today, to the credit of I.D.No.138 of 2018 on the file of II Additional Labour Court, Chennai. The said order has been complied by the petitioner.

Now, the respondent in W.P.No.1849 of 2022 has filed W.M.P.No.8414 of 2022 to direct the petitioner in W.P.No.1849 of 2022 for payment of full wages last drawn salary to him from the date of filing of the writ petition dated 12.01.2022 as per Section 17(b) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (hereinafter referred to as 'the Act' for short).
4. The respondent has raised the ground in the writ petition that the petitioner-Management will not come under the purview of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. Therefore, the petitioner is ready to make his submissions on the merit of the writ petition.
5. Mr.Ramasubramanian, party-in-person is appeared before this Court and he has objected that the writ petition is maintainable. But he filed an application under Section 17(b) of the Act, therefore, the petitioner has to comply the Section 17(b) of the Act.
6. Considering the said submissions of the parties, this Court is inclined to direct the petitioner in W.P.No.1849 of 2022 to pay the full wages last drawn salary to the respondent/employee from the date of filing of the writ petition till the month of June, 2022, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner in W.P.No.1849 of 2022 is further directed to pay monthly wages to the respondent/employee commences from July, 2022. The said amount shall be paid on or before 10th day of every succeeding english calender month.
7. With the above direction, W.M.P.No. 8414 of 2022 stands disposed
of.
