Prayer: This Civil Revision petition is filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, to dispose of O.P.No. 121 of 2021 pending on the file of the Learned VII Additional Family Court, Madras within a stipulated time fixed by this Court. For Petitioner :

O R D E R

The revision petitioner herein has filed O.P.No.121 of 2021 before the 7th Additional Family Court, Chennai, for dissolution of her marriage with the respondent. She now seeks an expeditious disposal of the matter. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the revision petitioner. 1/4

3.While this Court shares an anxiety of the revision petitioner to have her matter disposed of by the trial Court at the very earliest, this Court is also conscious of the fact that thousands of petitions are pending before the family Courts here and to let the revision petitioner jump the queue might be bit unfair to other litigants. 4.Learned counsel for the revision petitioner would now submit that the trial Court is excessively generous in granting time for filing counter and even it might have been appreciable if the the trial Court disposes of the present matter at the earliest.

5.Taking note of all the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the Family Court to dispose of the matter as expeditiously as possible and set a strict time table for the disposal and is also required not to be unduly over indulgent in accommodating unnecessary requests for adjournments. Indeed, the learned Judge may call over this in every case possible. It may be seen that only under the Commercial Courts Act, a statutory provision is made to enable the Court to set a time line for disposal. This can easily be copied by every Court. It is time, atleast the 7th Additional Family Court, Chennai to start the process in right earnestness in this regard within a period of six (6) months preferably and not later than December 2022.

6.With the above direction, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself. No cost.
