This Criminal Original petition has been filed seeking to grant Special leave to the petitioner/complainant to appeal before this Court as against the judgment of the learned XXV Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai - 600 008 made in S.T.C.No.7526/2022 dated 07.02.2024 acquitting the Accused/Respondent for the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and convict the accused for the said offence.

2. Being satisfied with the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit filed in support of this petition, this petition stands allowed and leave is granted to the petitioner to prefer appeal as against the judgment made in S.T.C.No.7526/2022 dated 07.02.2024.

3. Registry is directed to number the Criminal Appeal, if the papers are otherwise in order and post the main case on 08.04.2024 for admission.
