ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The present writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking direction to the respondents not to relocate the TASMAC shop bearing No.MN7TN44 to the proposed place in survey No.17/4 at Nallarankadu, on the Service Road to Bangalore National Highway.

2. Learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 and 4 has produced the proceedings of the District Collector dated 27.02.2026 granting permission to re-locate the shop to the aforesaid place. He submits that there is provision of appeal under Rule 9A of the Tamil Nadu Liquor Retail Vending (in Shops and Bars) Rules, 2003.

3. In view of the efficacious alternative remedy of appeal available to the petitioner, we are not inclined to entertain the writ petition. However, the petitioner would be at liberty to avail the remedy of appeal in accordance with law.

4. With the aforesaid liberty, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the interim application is closed.
