Mr.P.V.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 27.06.2017 challenging the order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 08.09.2016 arising out of patta proceedings.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said appeal is still pending and not yet disposed of. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as it is for the first respondent to dispose of the appeal on merits and in accordance with law. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Accordingly, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing all the parties concerned. Such exercise shall be done by the 1st respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
