This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned refusal check slip issued by the respondent on 03.01.2025 and consequently, direct the respondent to register the settlement deed dated 05.11.2024 executed by the petitioner in favour of her son.
2. Heard Mr.K.Sathish Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Harish, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondent.
3. The impugned refusal check slip has been issued by the respondent mainly on the ground that the original title document has not been produced at the time of registration. In paragraph No.4 of the affidavit, the petitioner has stated that the original title document has been lost and not traceable. The petitioner has added the necessary recital in this regard in the settlement deed itself. In such an event, the respondent shall register the settlement deed, if it is otherwise in order. In the result, this writ petition is allowed with the above 2/4
direction. No costs.
