O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct the 1st Respondent herein viz the Inspector of police, G3 Kilpauk Police station, Chennai not to harass the petitioner herein unnecessarily in the civil matters.

2. No representation for the petitioner.

3. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

4. On a complaint given by one Nagamma, the petition enquiry is being conducted. Under these circumstances, no blanket direction could be given as prayed for by the petitioner. The petitioner is directed to co-operate with the Police, when they make enquriy and at the time of conducting enquiry, the petitioner shall not be harassed by the respondent police.

5. During the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, the respondent police is free to register an FIR and this order shall not be a shield for the petitioner against his arrest.

6. With the above said directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
