Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose the pending appeal sent by the petitioner dated 27.09.2018, which was acknowledged on 28.09.2018 in accordance with law by conducting fresh enquiry and to issue ST Certificate to the applicant belongs to Kattunayakan Schedule Tribe.

[Order was delivered by R.SUBBIAH,J] The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of the pending appeal sent by the petitioner dated 27.09.2018, which was acknowledged on 28.09.2018, in accordance with law by conducting the fresh enquiry and to issue ST certificate.

2.The applicant states that he belongs to Kattunayakan Sub Tribe of Vettakkaranayakan. The prayer of the applicant was rejected by the second respondent by order dated 20.07.2018. Aggrieved by the same, he has filed the present appeal on 27.09.201. Eventhough, six months had lapsed, the appeal was not disposed of.

3.Without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose of the said appeal, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date receipt of copy of this order.
