O R D E R

The prayer sought for in the present petition is to call for the

records and quash the First Information Report in Crime No.139 of 2017, pending investigation on the file of the first respondent police.

2. Pending Criminal Original Petition, the defacto complainant and the petitioners have amicably resolved the dispute between themselves and accordingly, by mutual consent, they have filed a joint compromise affidavit, dated 10.10.2017, before this Court.

3. The defacto complainant as well as the petitioners are personally present before this Court and also they have been identified by their respective counsels on record. As per the joint compromise affidavit, the dispute settled between the parties and the relevant portion of the same would read thus:

"7. We respectfully submits before this Honourable Court that it may be pleased to record this present joint affidavit and compound the alleged offence under Sections 408, 420, 465, 468, 471 r/w 120(B) of IPC., pending investigation in Crime No. 139 of 2017 on the file of the respondent police in the interest of justice."

4. Recording the submissions made in the affidavit of the defacto complainant dated 10.10.2017, the Criminal Original Proceedings stands allowed. The proceedings in Crime No.139 of 2017 on the file of the Sub-Inspector of Police, EDF-II, Team - III, Central Crime Branch, Vepery, Chennai-7 is hereby quashed.
