Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent Labour Officer, Karaikal to direct the fourth and fifth respondent to maintain status quo during the pendency of the proceedings on the charter of demands submitted by the petitioner Union and not to terminate labour contract entered between the fourth respondent and fifth respondent during the pendency of the conciliation proceedings as the same is pending and it would be contrary Sec.33 of the Industrial Disputes Act to terminate.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the third respondent to direct the fourth and fifth respondent to maintain status quo
during the pendency of the proceedings on the charter of demands submitted by the petitioner Union and not to terminate labour contract entered between the fourth respondent and fifth respondent during the pendency of the conciliation proceedings.
2. Now, it is clarified that the conciliation proceedings in I.D.No.30 of 2013 had ended in failure on the file of the Labour Officer (Conciliation), Karaikal by the failure report dated 30.07.2014.
3. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
