Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to sanction 1/4
and disburse to the petitioner pension and other consequential service, monetary and retirement benefits including death cum retirement gratuit, commutation of pension, encashment of leave on private affairs, pension arrears etc., with interest at the rate of 9% per annum with effect from the date of petitioner's retirement on 31.01.2023. ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to sanction and disburse the pension and other consequential service, monetary and retirement benefits to the petitioner.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner was initially appointed as Production Assistant in the respondents University. Subsequently, his post was regularised and thereafter, he was transferred from Educational Multimedia Research Centre to the Department of Climate Change and Disaster Management. He retired from service in the post of Special Grade Production Assistant on 2/4
31.01.2023. However, he was not paid any retirement benefits including pension so far. Therefore, the petitioner submitted representations continuously. However, it was not considered so far.

Considering the above, the respondents are directed to consider the case of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders to disburse his terminal benefits and pension within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that if any recovery to be made against the petitioner, after deduction of the said amount, the petitioner's terminal benefits may be disbursed in accordance with law.
