ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the learned District and Sessions Judge, Thiruvallur, Thiruvallur District, to expedite the proceedings in S.C.No.19 of 2017 on his file and also to complete the proceedings within the time stipulated.

2.It is seen that by an earlier order dated 30.11.2015, passed in Crl.O.P.No.28667 of 2015, this Court has directed completion of the trial within four months. Since, the trial cannot be completed within four months, the present petition seeking for a direction to expedite the trial has been filed. 3.Heard Mr.K.Balu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Govindarajan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

4.It is now brought to my notice that, when the earlier order was passed, S.C.No.19 of 2017 was not assigned and apparently the trial could not be completed as contemplated earlier. Nevertheless, now that the case was taken on file, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

it would be appropriate, if the learned District and Sessions Judge, Thiruvallur, is directed to expedite the trial in S.C.No.19 of 2017.

6.Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.

The learned District and Sessions Judge, Thiruvallur, Thiruvallur District, is directed to expedite the proceedings in S.C.No.19 of 2017 and endeavor to complete the same as expeditiously as possible.
