Heard.
2. This writ petition has been filed praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS to direct the respondent to re-issue the passport to the petitioner, based on his Application No.14-1006161531, dated 19.07.2014.
3. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent had submitted that the application made by the petitioner, bearing Application No.14-1006161531, dated 19.07.2014, would be considered by the respondent, and appropriate orders will be passed thereon, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within the time limit, as may be prescribed by this Court.
4. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent, this Court finds it appropriate to direct the petitioner to appear before the respondent, on 25.07.2016, at 10.30 a.m., along with the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
relevant documents. On the petitioner complying with the necessary formalities, the respondent shall consider the application made by the petitioner, in Application No.141006161531, dated 19.07.2014, and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a period of four weeks, thereafter, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. The petitioner shall furnish a copy of his Application No.14-1006161531, dated 19.07.2014, to the respondent, along with a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court, by this order, has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.
5. The writ petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs.
