ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.554 of 2019 on the file of the respondent.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he has lodged a complaint aginst his paternal uncle Radhakrishnan and his family members alleging that they were responsible for the suicidal death of his father. The said complaint was registered as Crime No.554 of 2019 for the offence punishable under Section 306 IPC. After registration of the FIR, the respondent has not taken any further action against the above mentioned persons and the accused are continuing to roam scot free. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition for the above stated relief.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the complaint was registered on 04.11.2019, no action has been taken by the respondent till date.

4. On the other hand, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) taking notice for the respondent, submitted that the investigation is pending for want of required documents viz., post-mortem report etc., from the petitioner.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the petitioner to furnish the required documents to the respondent within a period of two(2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such documents, the respondent shall complete the investigation in Crime No.554 of 2019 within 6 weeks and file a final report thereafter.
