O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to dispose of his appeal dated 27.08.1996.

2.When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that during the pendancy of this writ petition the petitioner died. The learned counsel further submitted that though the petitioner rendered service for more than 30 years, his services were terminated for 'unauthorized absent'. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed appeal dated 27.08.1996 before the respondent. He further submitted that till the date of filing this writ petition, the said appeal was not disposed of by the respondent.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner further submitted that this Court may issue direction to the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 27.08.1996 within a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

reasonable time frame, so as to enable the legal heirs of the petitioner to get the benefits.

4.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court directs the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 27.08.1996 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The legal heirs of the petitioner are directed to make a fresh representation to the respondent, along with a copy of the petitioner's appeal dated 27.08.1996, so as to enable the respondent to pass appropriate orders.
