ORDER
The petitioner in W.P.No.599 of 2018, Mr.A.Michael Raj, who is working as Headmaster in Panchayat Union Elementary School, Poiyarikarai, Anthiyur Union in Erode District, is going to reach the age of superannuation on 31.5.2018. Similarly, the petitioner in W.P.No.600 of 2018, Mrs.R.Lakshmi, after having
worked as Headmaster (B.T.Assistant) in the Middle School, Sankarapalayam, Anthiyur Union, Erode District, retired from service in the year 2016. But their joint grievance is that when the Fifth Pay Commission recommended the revision of pay scales to all the Government employees and a Government Order was also issued on 27.6.89, after implementing the recommendation in respect of the revision of pay scales with effect from 1988, the entire arrears were also credited in the concerned provident fund account of all the government employees. But the same have not been given to the petitioners. Therefore, they have given a representation on 21.8.2017. As the same is pending for a long time, a direction is sought for, he pleaded.
2. Mrs.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Additional Government Pleader, taking notice on behalf of the respondents, sought for four weeks time to consider the pending representation.
3. This Court, considering the limited prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, hereby directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
