The writ of mandamus has been instituted to direct the 2nd respondent to return the original certificates based on the representation dated 02.02.2024.

2. The petitioner admittedly is an in-service candidate serving at Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital at Salem. The petitioner admittedly executed a bond for pursuing a super speciality course in D.M. Cardiology at Thirunelveli Medical College.

3. As per the terms and conditions in the bond, the petitioner has to serve in the Government Medical College Hospital till his retirement. With reference to the grievances of the writ petitioner for handing over of the original certificates for registration of his name in the medical council, the respondents themselves have initiated action and now the name of the petitioner has been registered in the Tamil Nadu Medical Council Chennai on 13.03.2024, including the super speciality qualification acquired by the petitioner.

4. Since the grievance of the petitioner to register the super 2/4

speciality qualification with the medical council has been complied with, now the petitioner cannot turn around and seek the original certificate from the respondents. For receiving the original documents, the petitioner has to comply with the bond conditions. So long as the service bond conditions remain, the original certificate must be with the custody of the Government.

5. That being the position, the relief as such sought for, to hand over the certificate, cannot be considered. With these observations, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
