This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to give police protection to the petitioner to construct a factory in his patta land Survey No.4/5 in Kilmampattu village, Panruti Taluk, Cuddalore District, on the basis of the petitioner's representations dated 20.12.2022 and 11.10.2023.

2. Heard Mr.A.E.Kalaiselvan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of respondents.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents submitted that the representations made by the petitioner are not available with the respondents. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that if fresh representation is made by the petitioner, the same will be enquired and a decision will be taken with regard to providing police protection.

4. Considering the submissions made by learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to give a fresh representation to the respondents. The respondents, on receipt of the same, shall 2/4

conduct an enquiry by issuing notice to all the interested parties and shall take a decision within a period of four (4) weeks.
