Arasu Rubber Corporation Ltd. v. B.Vickraman
CMP Nos.12842, 12850 & 12844 of 2020 in WA Nos. SR 32292, 32294 & 32293 of 2020 THE HON'BLE CHIEF JUSTICE and SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY, J.
The applications are filed to condone the delay of 2982 days. The explanation provided on behalf of would-be appellants is that a review petition was filed, which came to be disposed of on 19.12.2019.
Learned counsel for the respondents opposes the applications on the ground that the review application was filed with a delay of five years. Such contention is not tenable inasmuch as the delay in filing the review had been explained previously, pursuant to which the said delay was condoned. As such, we find that the delay has been adequately explained.
Consequently, the applications to condone the delay are allowed and the appeals are taken on record.
Let appropriate numbers be alloted to the matters. The appeals will appear a fortnight hence.
