Heard Mr.J.Stalin, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.V.Shanmugasunder, learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent and Mr.C.C.Rangarajan, learned counsel for the second respondent.
2. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a
direction to the second respondent to comply with its proceedings No.A2/487/10, dated 31.07.2013, by providing the sanctioned subsidiary amount of a sum of Rs.35,477/-(Rupees Thirty Five Thousand Four Hundred and Seventy Seven only) in Kalaingar House Scheme, to the petitioner.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner constructed a house during the period 2010-2011 under the Kazhignar Housing Scheme, for which the second respondent sanctioned a sum of Rs.35,477/-(Rupees Thirty Five Thousand Four Hundred and Seventy Seven) by its proceedings dated 31.07.2015. But, the said amount was not paid.
4. It is further stated that on 28.03.2017, a cheque for a sum of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand only) was given to the petitioner, but the amount could not be realised. Therefore, on 01.12.2017, the petitioner sent a representation to the second respondent. Since, there was no reply, the present Writ Petition is filed.

The learned counsel for the second respondent submitted that the cheque was returned due to the reason that the account was not in operation and the second respondent is ready to pay a sum of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand) immediately and the balance amount, within a period of two weeks. The letter of the second respondent dated 10.04.2018 was produced for perusal of this Court.
