O R D E R

This contempt petition has been filed for the alleged disobedience of the order of this Court dated 26.03.2021 made in W.P.No.7929 of 2021.

2. Today, when the contempt petition is taken up for hearing, Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submits that the order of this Court has been complied with, even though only a direction was given by this Court to consider the request of the petitioner without going into the merits of the case, the respondent has gone into the merits of the case and in fact passed an order in favour of the petitioner by extending the agricultural service connection to the petitioner and an order to that effect has already been passed and that has been produced before this Court. In view of the above, learned counsel appearing for the respondent TANGEDCO wants this matter to be closed.

3. Considering the said submissions made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent and after hearing the learned 2 / 4

counsel appearing for the petitioner and by taking into account the compliance that has been reported before this Court, this contempt petition is closed.
