This writ petition is filed for issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to pay the encashment amount for Earned Leave along with interest and also the pension for the months of July, 2021 and August, 2021 to the petitioner.
Mr. Gowtham Raj, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the 1st respondent and Mr.C.S.K. Sathish, learned counsel takes notice for the 2nd respondent.

Learned counsel for the 1st respondent submits that the Transport Corporation would pay the amount to the petitioner, if she is eligible as per the Rules and the policy of the Corporation within such reasonable time as may be fixed by this Court. 4.
Learned counsel for the petitioner would also bring to the notice of this Court that in connected matters, interest @ 6% per annum has already been ordered by this Court.

In view thereof, the writ petition is disposed of on the following terms:

(i) The 1st respondent is directed to pay the encashment amount for Earned Leave and pension, as prayed for, by the petitioner, if she is otherwise eligible, in accordance with the Rules and Policy of the Corporation, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, along with 6% interest per annum from the date on which the amount became due till the date of disbursement;

nv (ii) If the amount is not paid within the stipulated period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, then the same would be payable with interest @ 12% per annum from the date on which the amount became due till the date of disbursement.
