ORDER

This petition has been filed to call for the records pertaining to the FIR in Crime No.6 of 2021 dated 03.02.2021 on the file of the respondent police and quash the same in respect of the petitioners.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the first petitioner is the mother-in-law of the second respondent/defacto complainant, the second petitioner is the sister of the first petitioner and the third petitioner is the husband of the second petitioner. The first petitioner had already filed a complaint under the Domestic Violence Act as against the defacto complainant and four others and numbered as DVA.No.577 of 2019 before the Special Court for protection of Women at Coimbatore for domestic https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

violence and as a counter blast, a false complaint has been lodged against the petitioners and others.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that the investigation will be completed within a period of three months and final report will be filed.

4. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioners seek permission of this Court to withdraw the Petition.

5. In view of the above submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Criminal Original petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed. Since the second respondent/defacto complainant is a senior citizen aged about 75 years, she is protected under Senior Citizenship Protection Act and the respondent police taking into consideration the age of the second respondent/defacto complainant and Senior Citizens Protection Act, complete the investigation within a stipulated time.
