O R D E R
Heard the learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the petitioner, as well as the learned counsels, appearing on behalf of the respondents.
2.This writ petition has been filed, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to correct the name of the petitioner, as K.Murugammal, in her X and XII standard Mark Sheets, which were issued by the second and the third respondents and to issue fresh Mark Certificates within the stipulated time. 3.Though various grounds have been raised in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, the learned counsels, appearing on behalf of the petitioner as well as the respondents, have submitted that it would suffice, if the petitioner is permitted to submit his representation seeking change of her name in the X and XII Mark Certificates, and on receipt of such representation, the first respondent may be directed to dispose of such representation, on merits and in accordance with law, within the time frame, as may be fixed by this Court.

In view of the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition and in view of the submissions made by the learned counsels, appearing on behalf of the petitioner as well as the respondents, this Court finds it appropriate to permit the petitioner to submit a representation seeking change of her name in X and XII Mark Certificates, as K.Murugammal, instead of K.Murugambal, along with the true copies of the said certificates, which require the change of name, and a copy of the letter of the District Educational Officer, Nagapattinam, dated 24.7.2014, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the first respondent shall consider and dispose of the same, taking into consideration of the recommendation made by the District Educational Officer, Nagapattinam, in his letter, dated 24.7.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks thereafter, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, as well as to the other persons concerned, if any.
