Respondents PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the entire records of the 2nd respondent in so far as the High Tension Bill (Provisional) for the month of April 2020 dated 07.05.2020 and May 2020 dated 06.06.2020 pertaining to High Tension Consumer Connection vide Service No.019094022420 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to rework the HT Bill with Service No.019094022420 and the excess amount shall be adjusted towards the future bills by levying the minimum charges alone by the 2nd respondent for the period from April 2020 to July 2020 and not to levy any penalty for the period under which the petitioner's shopping mall was lockdown.

ORDER

The petitioner challenges the high tension bill on the basis that only 20% should have been charged as minimum demand charges as per previous order passed by this Hon'ble Court. The learned standing counsel for the Electricity Department Mr.Dilipkumar concurs that the subject matter of the present https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

writ petition is squarely covered by an earlier order of this Court.

Accordingly, the writ petition is allowed by following the order passed in W.P.Nos.7678 of 2020 and the connected batch which were disposed of on 14.08.2020. The directions issued therein will apply equally to this writ petition on the above terms without any order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
