ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to consider the claims of the petitioner for granting regular time scale of pay of Rs.4,800-10,000+1,300 (Grade Pay) instead of granting special time scale of pay of Rs.1,300 - 3000 + 300 (Grade pay) in the post of Scavenger / Sanitary Worker based on the orders of the Government issued in G.O. (Ms).No.50, School Education (Pa. Ka. 4 (1)) Department, dated 08.03.2019 and also based on the order of the Honourable High Court of Madurai Bench of Madras High Court dated 25.01.2018 in W.P.(MD) No.17663 of 2014 and also W.A.No.1458 of 2019 dated 20.01.2023 and pay terminal benefits on completion of ten years of service.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the respondents are directed to consider the case of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, based on the orders of the Government issued in G.O.(Ms).No.50, School Education (Pa. Ka. 4 (1)) Department, dated 08.03.2019 and also based on the order of the Honourable High Court of Madurai Bench of Madras High Court dated 25.01.2018 in W.P.(MD) No.17663 of 2014 and also W.A.No.1458 of 2019 dated 20.01.2023, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
