O R D E R

This Court, by an order dated 19.07.2013, in Crl.O.P.No.18376 of 2013, directed the respondent police to invesigate the case in Crime No.367 of 2008 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Since the said order has not been complied with, within the stipulated time as directed by this Court, the present contempt petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) filed a detailed counter affidavit stating that pursuant to the order of this Court, the respondent sought for legal opinion from the Assistant Public Prosecutor, Tiruvannamalai and laid a charge sheet against the accused in Crime No.367 of 2008 for the offences under Section 420 of I.P.C.on 10.03.2015 before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.1, Tiruvannamalai on 11.03.2015 and the case was taken on file vide C.C.No.62 of 2015, dated 13.03.2015. Now the case is pending trial before the said Court.
