THE HON'BLE CHIEF JUSTICE and N.MALA, J.

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard on the applications for impleadment.

2. The applicant, appearing in person, submitted that a public interest litigation, being W.P.(MD) No.6912 of 2021, has been filed in reference to the judgment of this Court in W.A.No.1451 of 2015, dated 21.08.2018 and suppressing the said fact, writ petitions being W.P.Nos.6989 and 6993 of 2022 have been filed and otherwise if the relief prayed is granted, it would defeat the public interest litigation preferred by the applicant at Madurai which has been transferred to the Principal Seat for hearing pursuant to the direction of this Court. Accordingly, a prayer is made to implead the applicant as party respondent in the writ petitions.

3. The applications have been contested by learned senior counsel for the writ petitioners. It is submitted by learned senior

counsel for the writ petitioners that the writ petitions have no nexus to the public interest litigation preferred by the applicant. In any case, the public interest litigation has been transferred for hearing to the Principal Seat at Chennai. Therefore, there is no necessity to implead the applicant as party respondent in the writ petitions.

4. We have considered the submissions and find that the public interest litigation preferred by the applicant has been transferred for hearing along with the writ petitions preferred by the education institution - Shanmugha Arts Science Technology and Research Academy and another. In view of the above, instead of allowing the applications for impleadment, we permit the applicant to assist the Court in the writ petitions preferred by the educational institution - Shanmugha Arts Science Technology and Research Academy and another. Accordingly, the applicant S.Pushpavanam is allowed to intervene in the matter and otherwise he would be at liberty to argue the writ petition preferred by him at the threshold.

5. With the aforesaid, W.M.P.No.8244 of 2022 in W.P.No.6989 of

2022 and W.M.P.No.8245 of 2022 in W.P.No.6993 of 2022 are disposed of.
