This Petition has been filed seeking Letters of Administration with Will annexed relating to registered Will dated 29.07.1997 executed by R.Subramaniam, who died on 18.06.2010.

2. In the Will, the petitioners are the beneficiaries and are the adopted daughters of the testator. In the Will, life interest in the property was given to his wife S.Saraswathi. She died on 04.09.2020. The cause to seek Letters of Administration arose only after her death.

3. After due procedure, the petitioners were invited to adduce evidence. The first petitioner was examined as PW-1. The original registered Will was marked as Ex.P-1 and the death certificate of R.Subramaniam was marked as Ex.P-2 and the death certificate of S.Saraswathi was marked as Ex.P-4, the legal heirship certificate of R.Subramaniam was marked as Ex.P-3. The second petitioner was examined as PW-2. One of the attesting witness R.Arumugam was examined as PW-3. He identified the Will and also identified the signatures. He stated that R.Subramaniam was in a sound state of mind at the time of executing the Will. C.V.KARTHIKEYAN, J.

4. In view of the evidence produced, this Original Petition stands allowed as follows:- (a) the letters of administration shall be issued in favour of the petitioners in respect of the properties mentioned in the petition.

(b) The petitioners are directed to duly administer the said properties of the deceased.

(c) The petitioners are also directed to execute a security bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) in favour of the Assistant Registrar (O.S-II), High Court, Madras. (d) The petitioners are further directed to render true and correct accounts once in a year.
