ORDER
[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to produce the person or body of the petitioner's daughter, the detenue G.Vennila, D/o.Gopalakrishnan, aged about 22 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter Vennila, aged about 22 years, went missing from 21.03.2022 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her.

Today, S.R.Durai Raj (Mobile No.94981 73869), SubInspector of Police, Thudialur Police Station, Coimbatore District, is present.

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Thudialur Police Station Crime No.363 of 2022 has been registered on 22.03.2022 for 'woman missing' and investigation is in progress.
In such view of the matter, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Periyanayakanpalayam Sub-Division, Coimbatore District to supervise the investigation in Thudialur Police Station Crime No.363 of 2022 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue Vennila, aged about 22 years, is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Coimbatore, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to custody in accordance with law.
