Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant retired benefits, minimum pension to the petitioner in the post of Village Administrative Officer as per G.O.Ms.No.182, and G.O.Ms.No.183, Revenue Department [Service 8(2)] Department, both dated 1.7.2016, by considering petitioner's representation dated 16.12.2017 with all consequential monetary benefits.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondents to grant retired benefits,

minimum pension to the writ petitioner in the post of Village Administrative Officer as per G.O.Ms.No.182 and G.O.Ms.No.183, Revenue Department (Service 8(2) Department, both dated 1.7.2016, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 16.12.2017 with all consequential monetary benefits.

2. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that the Village Administrative Officers, who have not completed the minimum service of 10 years, were granted the minimum pension by relaxing the relevant Rules. However, the proposal submitted by the fourth respondent in favour of the writ petitioner has not been considered by the first respondent so far.

3. Under these circumstances, without going into the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 16.12.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitioner is directed to enclose the copy of the representation and all other relevant documents, if any, along with the order passed in this writ petition.
