(The case has been heard through video conference) According to the petitioner, his father late M.Gopalan, purchased a property in S.F.No.645/2A, situated at Srinivasa Nagar, Velacherry Village, Chennai measuring an extent of 1090 sq.ft. Thereafter, petitioner's father made an application seeking for issuance of patta. That application was not considered, hence the petitioner's father filed a writ petition before this Court in W.P.No.9964 of 2013, and this Court by an order dated 16.04.2013 directed the Thasidlar, Guindy-Mambalam Taluk to consider the said representation and pass suitable orders. meantime, the petitioner's father died and subsequently on 11.03.2021, the petitioner on behalf of other LRs of the deceased Mr.M.Gopalan filed another application before the respondents seeking for patta, but so far no orders have been passed, hence the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.
2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the third respondent will consider the said representation of the petitioner and will pass suitable orders on merit.
3. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the third respondent Thasildar to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.03.2021 and after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as any other interested person, if any, pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
