Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.04.2015 for the issuance of patta relating to the property situated at No.9, Sardarpatel Road, Adayar, Chennai - 600 020, comprised in Survey No.11/1, measuring to an extent of 31 cents in Kottur Village, Guindy Taluk, in favour of Tmt.Shanthaumari, within a time frame limit.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner claims that her grand father has purchased the property situated at No.9, Sardarpattel Road, Adayar, Chennai - 600 020 comprised in S.No.11/1, measuring to an extent of 31 cents in Kottur Village, from one Neelakanda Sastiriyar by way of registered sale deed Document No.1478/1917 and subsequently, a partition took place by means of a registered document No.1129/1918 dated 17.07.1918. The petitioner would further state that her great grand father namely Mr.Ramachandra Naidu died during the year 1940 and his first son Raja also died and his last son Radhakrishnan Naidu died on 28.01.1973, who is the grand father of the petitioner. A legal heirship certificate was also issued by the Tahsildar of Nannilam Taluk on 08.12.1989 in favour of the deceased Radhakrishnan Naidu wherein, the name of the petitioner also recorded in Serial No.4 of the legal heirship certificate. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3.The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though she submitted a representation/application dated 08.04.2015 for issuance of patta in respect of the said property, no response has been shown by the respondent and hence, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.
4.Heard the submissions of Mr.C.V.Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.
5.Taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the representation, this Court, directs the respondent to consider the representation dated 08.04.2015 submitted by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice to the persons concerned and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as the concerned persons.
