..Respondents Prayer : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of the 2nd respondent in G.D.No.5/RS-I/(C)/2017-18, dated 03.05.2017 and quash the same and further direct the 2nd respondent to release the consignment detained on 03.05.2017.

2. Heard Ms.C.Rekha Kumari, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Kanmani Annamalai, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition praying to quash the impugned notice dated 03.05.2017 issued by the second respondent in connection with detention of goods along with the vehicle.

4. It is submitted by the learned Additional Government Pleader that pending writ petition, the consignment that has been detained under the said impugned notice has already been released by the second respondent. Hence, the writ petition has become infructuous.

5. Recording the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents, the writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
