Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaram, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of first respondent. Mr.P.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of second respondent. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner preferred this writ petition for a direction directing the second respondent to pass orders on merits on the petitioner's representation dated 12.08.2020 demanding release of his retirement benefits like gratuity and pension.

3. Heard the submissions made on either side and perused the materials available on record.

4. Considering the limited prayer, a direction is given to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.08.2020, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
