ORDER

(Order of the Court was delivered by R.MAHADEVAN, J.) The relief sought by the petitioner in this writ petition is to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to conduct election to the Namakkal Bar Association (Criminal Side), Namakkal only with the list of members eligible to vote in the Namakkal District as published by the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, excluding the persons who are members of the other association i.e., The Bar Association, Civil and other Associations, Namakkal, by appointing a sitting or a retired District Judge as a convener to conduct the election in a fair and proper manner.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent submitted that the relief sought by the petitioner has become infructuous since the election has already been conducted on 26.06.2020 and the office bearers also took charge. Therefore, nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has conceded with the above submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent and sought permission of this Court to withdraw the present writ petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect in the case bundle.

4. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent as well as the request coupled with an endorsement made by the petitioner's counsel, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
