ORDER

The Writ petitioner has sought for permission to appear for M.Ed. examination for the Academic Year 2013-14 which was held by the first Respondent University from 03.05.2014. 2.

At the time of admission, it is objected by the learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent submitting that the petitioner did not have required qualification in Post graduate Degree and the B.Ed. Decree obtained by her is not equivalent. Hence, the request of the petitioner can not be considered. However, this Court while permitting the petitioner to write the examination of M.Ed. course for the academic year 2013-14 has specifically ordered the University not to publish the results of the petitioner.

It is further stated that the petitioner had already written the examination and as per the order of this Court, the result was not published. When the limited scope of the writ petition is only to issue a writ of Mandamus, permitting the petitioner to write the M.Ed. Examination and having permitted the petitioner to appear for the examination, the results cannot be withheld and the same may be published.

The learned counsel appearing for the 1st respondentUniversity has no serious objection for publishing the results. Whether the petitioner is entitled for conferment of the degree based on the results is only subject to the marks obtained by her and the action to be taken by the University. As the scope of the present writ petition is very limited and the same has already become infructuous, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the University to publish the results. No costs.
