ORDER

While disposing of the Criminal Original Petition in Crl.O.P.No.28633 of 2015, by order dated 05.01.2016, this Court directed the Assistant

Commissioner of Police, Salem West Crime, Salem City, Salem, (2nd respondent herein) to conduct enquiry on the complaint of the petitioner and upon enquiry, if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible. If no prima facie case is made out for registering the FIR, the 2nd respondent was directed to pass an appropriate orders on the said complaint.

2.The present contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging non-compliance of the said order dated 05.01.2016 passed by this Court.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) represented that the respondents, after conducting enquiry on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, have closed the same.

4.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this contempt Petition is closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to seek his further remedy in the manner known to law, if he so desires.
