ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to pay compensation for the acquired lands belonging to the petitioner, comprised in Survey Nos.297 / 11B3, 297 ./11B7,297/ 11B9, 307 /9E, 308/ 3B, 308/5, 308/ 9C, 316/ 13/B, 316/ 15A1, 316 /7A, 317 /11C, 356/ 6B described in patta No.85 comprised in the extent of 79.50 Acres and in Survey No.308/6 comprised at extent of 14.50 acres described in patta No.1662 situated at Kottarai village, Alathur Taluk, Perambalur District.
2. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.
3. On the other hand, the learned counsel for the respondent would submit that in this case, the petitioner had given representation for the purpose of fixing compensation for acquisition of subject land. Further, he would submit
that already the compensation was determined and the joint pattadharar had already received their share of compensation for the aforementioned acquired portion of land. Hence, he prays for dismissal of this petition.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the respondents and also perused the entire materials available on record.
5. In the case on hand, the petitioner had given representation for the purpose of fixing compensation for acquisition of subject land. However, according to the respondents, the respondents had already determined the compensation for the acquired portion of land and deposited the compensation amount to the Revenue Authorities. Further, it was brought to the knowledge of this Court that the joint pattadharars of the subject land had already received their share of compensation for the acquired portion of land.
6. In view of the above, the 4th respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.03.2020, which was filed before the 2nd respondent-District Collector and after issuing due notice to the petitioner, dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
