ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 4 th respondent to conduct the survey of the subject property and to submit a report before the 1 st respondent and for a further direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 04.12.2024 and to issue patta in the name of the petitioner.
3/6 2.Heard Mr.V.Balamurugan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 5.
3.The specific case of the petitioner is that he and his family members are in possession and enjoyment of the subject property for more than 80 years. A representation was given for issuance of patta to the 1 st respondent. The 1 st respondent through proceedings dated 19.07.2021 forwarded the same to the 4 th and 5 th respondents. There was no progress and hence, the petitioner made a representation on 04.12.2024. Since the same did not evoke any response, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the 1 st respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 04.12.2024 on its own merits and in
4/6 accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
