Contempt petition filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act, praying to punish the respondents for having violated the order of this Hon'ble Court passed in W.P.No.19105 of 2008 dated 12.09.2011.

ORDER

This contempt petition is filed alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 12.09.2011 and made in W.P.No.19105 of 2008.

2.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is absent. Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader who appears on behalf of the contemnors would submit that, the Assistant Commissioner, Urban Land Tax, Alandur Zone, Chennai has addressed a letter dated 14.07.2015 to the Government Pleader, High Court, Chennai and as per the contents of the letter, as against the order passed in W.P.No.19105 of 2008 which is the subject matter of this contempt petition, writ appeal in W.A.No.2228 of 2012 was filed and it was also dismissed on 04.10.2012. Thereafter, steps are being taken to file Special Leave Petition before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and in the interregnum, the Tahsildar, Tambaram, Alandur and Sholinganallur, were directed to obey the orders of this Court dated 12.09.2011 made in W.P.No.19105 of 2008 and to incorporate the name of the petitioner as owner in all the revenue records like patta, chitta and adangal in respect of the land in S.No.723 and 308 part of Pallikkaranai and Thiruneermalai village.

3.Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader on instructions would submit that necessary orders have already been passed.

4.In the light of the said development, this contempt petition is closed and the concerned Tahsildars are directed to communicate the decision in that regard, to the petitioner forthwith.

The letter of the Assistant Commissioner, Urban Land Tax, Alandur Zone, Chennai dated 14.07.2015 addressed to the Government Pleader, High Court, Chennai is placed on record.
