Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.01.2017 as per the 2nd respondent's order in Naa.Ka.No.2395/2017/AA3 within a stipulated period that may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This writ petition is directed against the decision of shifting of Madhurantakam Municipal office building to Mambakkam village. It is not for this Court to select https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and/or determine the site for location of the Municipal office. Selection of site for Municipal office involves various factors including availability of land, the cost of land etc. In any case, on the face of the averments in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, the new Municipal office building is only 3 kilo meters away from Madhurantakam Town. Some inconvenience of the people of a particular locality does not call for interference of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
