The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the first respondent / the Principal, Queen Mary's College, Chennai, to pass orders on the pending representation of the petitioner dated 14.12.2017 requesting to release the DCRG amount sanctioned by the third respondent / the Accountant General, Chennai, in his proceedings dated 28.09.2017. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner had retired from the services of the first respondent College on 30.04.2017 on attaining the age of superannuation. She served as Associate Professor and Head of the Department, Department of History, Queen Mary's College. Now, the only grievance of the petitioner is that although the pension and Commutation of Pension were disbursed, the first respondent has not disbursed the payment relating to DCRG. Therefore, she made a representation dated 14.12.2017 to the first respondent, however, the same is pending without consideration by the said authority.

3. Mr.P.Raja, learned Government Advocate, by accepting notice for the respondents 1 and 2, sought for four weeks time to pass orders on the pending representation of the petitioner.

4. Recording the above said statement, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the pending representation dated 14.12.2017 of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs. WMP.No.966 of 2018 is closed.
