2. Mr.R.Gururaj, learned counsel for the respondent informs this court that he has filed a memo dated 29.02.2024 stating that his client has passed away on 21.02.2023.

3. The appeal has abated in May 2023 and steps have not been taken so far. Recording the memo filed by the learned counsel on either side, the appeal having been abated, the same is dismissed as abated.
