Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to follow the instructions given in G.O.Ms.No.14/Tr.Sectt/2021 dated 28.10.2021 by accepting the stoppage reports of the vehicles owned by the members of the petitioner's association for the period upto 31.03.2021 and issue Tax Nil Assessment Certificate for the period upto 31.03.2021.

ORDER

After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Pondy) for the respondents, this writ petition is disposed without expressing any opinion on merits of the case by directing the respondents to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 12.12.2021 for stoppage of vehicles under the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner has placed reliance of G.O.Ms.No.17/Tr.Sectt./2020 dated 09.12.2020. Though the learned Government Advocate (Pondy) for the respondents would submit that the amendment of the said order requires clarification, I am inclined to dispose this writ petition by directing the respondents to pass appropriate order on the petitioner's representation dated 12.12.2021 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The respondents are at liberty to obtain suitable clarification before passing such order on the representation of the petitioner. 3.Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
